Site Prep in Central Kentucky

Done Right the First Time

Every building project starts with dirt. Before the first form board goes down, somebody has to clear the lot, cut it to grade, build the pad and get a truck in and out of there.

Pistol Ridge Land Services handles site preparation for new homes, shops, barns and commercial lots across central Kentucky. We take a piece of raw ground and hand your builder a site that's ready to work.

Because we also do the clearing, excavation, pad and utility trenches, you aren't lining up four contractors and hoping they show up in order.

What's Included

What site prep includes

  • Clearing brush, trees and old structures
  • Stripping topsoil and stockpiling it
  • Cutting and filling to rough grade
  • Building and compacting the pad
  • Access drives so trucks can get in
  • Trenching for water and electric

Residential lots

We've prepped lots along county roads, cut drives through the woods to a home site and built gravel pads and approaches up to new garages. If the lot slopes, we work out where the cut and fill go so the house sits right and the water runs away from it.

Commercial and larger sites

Bigger lots need the same things at a bigger scale: clearing, grade and a solid base. We've graded large commercial lots and can work to an engineer's or builder's plans.

Questions

Site Prep FAQ

What does site prep cost?

Every lot is different. Trees, slope, rock, how much fill is needed and how far the utilities have to run all change the number. We walk the lot and quote it.

Can you work from my builder's plans?

Yes. Give us the plans and elevations and we'll build the site to match.

How long does site prep take?

A simple lot can be ready in a few days of good weather. A wooded or steep lot takes longer. Rain is the thing nobody can schedule around.
